Through the use of kiosk systems on the campus the students will spend a great part of their student life with the systems. The students can make all types of transactions by themselves. University calendars (general or faculty based) don’t have to be produced by the publisher, because the information can be printed at the kiosk if necessary. Students can make room reservations themselves. Students can have the interesting information sent via e-mail or to a mobile phone, a PDA or a notebook. They can renew their registration for the upcoming semester and have the photo for the ID card made at the kiosk.

On separate screens videos animations or university TV can be displayed.

Via kiosks the students can contact the dean or a teacher to ask questions, enter proposals or answer polls. Kiosks are an ideal place for job and apartment announcements, for example outside at bus stops. In this way the number of postings can be reduced or, if they expire, they can be automatically deleted from the display. Students can read via university kiosks their own e-mail and in this way get important information on time. They can browse the Internet or the university network to get relevant information for lectures. They can browse through the university library catalogue and book the necessary reference books at once – the security is provided by student cards.
